On November 12, 2019, the Cumberland County Schools Fire Academy received a most generous gift. The Stoney Point Fire Department donated a 1985 Seagrave fire engine to the Academy.

This donation will allow the Fire Academy students the opportunity to train on a real-world fire apparatus. The Stoney Point Fire Department and the Cumberland County Fire Chiefs Association also replaced all of the gauges, valves, nozzles, and equipment, so that the engine is in top running order. A local company partner, Atlantic Emergency Solutions (AES), is housing the engine for the Academy at its facility off of Country Club Drive.

Thanks to the Stoney Point Fire Department, the Cumberland County Fire Chiefs Association, and AES for being super supporters of the Academy.
